About This Position
Position: TOSCA Automation Lead
Location: Bethesda, MD (Remote with occasional travel on need basis)
Job Description:
• As a Tester, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications within the hospitality industry. Your expertise lies in automated testing, and you contribute to the overall success of projects by identifying defects, improving test processes, and maintaining high standards of quality.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Automated Testing Across Various Technologies and Product Sets:
You design and execute automated tests across different technologies and product domains.
Your focus includes both front-end and back-end testing.
2. Test Framework Design and Implementation:
You create and maintain automation test frameworks.
These frameworks serve as the backbone for efficient and effective automated testing.
3. Bug Verification and Tracking:
When defects are identified, you verify them and track their status.
You collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
4. Test Preparation, Execution, and Reporting:
You prepare test cases, execute them, and report results.
Clear documentation is essential for effective communication.
5. Defect Management Lifecycle:
You use tools like Jira to manage defects from reporting to resolution.
Tracking and monitoring defects are part of your responsibilities.
6. Collaboration with Delivery Teams:
As a key member of the Delivery Team, you understand project requirements and technical solutions.
You work closely with manual testers, developers, and subject matter experts.
7. Business Domain Understanding:
You gain insights into the hospitality business domain and system functionality.
This understanding informs your testing approach.
Qualifications:
Education:
A relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields is preferred.
Certifications:
Consider certifications such as Tricentis Tosca, ISTQB, ISEB, CSTE, CSQA, CTFL, BBST, AWS, QA, INS, MCSD, Hospitality Domain.
Skills:
Proficiency in Tosca, Selenium, SQL, and Jira.
Familiarity with TDD (Test-Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
Knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Jenkins).
Agile mindset and experience estimating test efforts.
Experience:
3 years’ Experience in Hospitality domain (PMS i.e., Opera/Opera Cloud)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an automation tester/lead.
Proven track record of leading QA cycles.
Functional testing experience with transactional business applications.
Python skills for test automation.
