Infection Preventionist at Shore Medical Center – Somers Point, New Jersey

Position Summary
The Infection Preventionist provides medical direction to the Infection Prevention Programs by taking a leadership role in promoting programs and processes that reduce the risk of acquiring and transmitting infections among patients, physicians, employees, and visitors. The Infection Preventionist creates and environment for innovation and success of the Infection Prevention Program and in accordance with the objectives and policies of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Accreditation Agencies, Infection Control Committees, and the hospital system.

Qualifications
• Valid New Jersey State RN License and/or Microbiology Technician
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2 years of experience in Infection Control preferred
• Computer proficiency
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred
• APIC CIC

Salary Range - $36.28 - $46.50 hourly (Based on experience)
