Housekeeping/Laundry Specialist - Part-Time at Park Village Pines – Kalamazoo, Michigan

Park Village Pines, a faith-based Senior Assisted Living facility, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping/Laundry Specialist to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. Job functions include:

In this role, you will play an essential part in ensuring that our facility—our residents’ home—remains clean, organized, and safe.

We are seeking someone who is dependable, compassionate, and ready to serve with excellence to:

• Clean resident rooms & common spaces on a daily
• Keep the housekeeping storage room organized and neat
• Assist with needed deep cleaning throughout the facility
• Work with maintenance to report, repair, or replace items, equipment, etc.
• Adhere to all safety precautions and work within safety procedures for all supplies, chemicals, etc.

Work Schedules:

This position requires availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Part-time, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

Job Requirements Include:

• Ability to read small print on equipment and written instructions
• Knowledge of proper use and care of cleaning chemicals such as soaps and disinfectants

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Push/pull carts up to 75 lbs
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and climb
• Stand or walk up to 100% of an 8-hour shift
• Tolerance to frequent exposure to latex, vinyl, plastic, and other materials used in cleaning and PP
