About This Position
Overview:
Mt. Shasta Ski Park is hiring Parking Attendants to help create a smooth and welcoming arrival experience for our guests. Parking Attendants are the first point of contact for many visitors, responsible for directing traffic, assisting guests with parking, and ensuring safety and efficiency in our parking lots. This is an active, outdoor position that plays an important role in guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct vehicles into designated parking areas in an organized and safe manner.
Monitor traffic flow and maintain clear access lanes for shuttles, emergency vehicles, and guests.
Provide guests with directions and basic information about the ski park.
Assist with crowd and traffic control during peak times and special events.
Maintain a safe and positive environment in the parking areas.
Report any incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Set up and maintain the parking lots and walkways.
Work collaboratively with shuttle drivers, security, and other staff to ensure efficient operations.
Assist other departments.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to remain friendly and professional while working in fast-paced or stressful situations.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Physically able to stand for long periods, walk across large lots, and lift up to 30 lbs.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Previous experience in guest service, traffic control, or outdoor work a plus, but not required (training provided).
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay rate: $17.00 $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Season Pass and employee discounts.
Seasonal position with both full-time and part-time shifts available.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak operating days.
