Produce Clerk at Hansens IGA – West Salem, Wisconsin

Position Purpose:
Represents our store's image in a positive manner by providing our customers with helpful, courteous service from our produce area.

Qualifications/Skills:
Must be 18 years or older.
Honest, team-oriented person who has a good work ethic.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Interaction with customers will be friendly, courteous, positive and enthusiastic.

Directs or shows customers where items are in the store.

Help customers by knowing information about all produce items.

Able to identify produce items; fruits, vegetables, variety, bulk candy, etc.

Replace over-ripe produce.

Re-stock and fill produce items.

Face current product.

Cut, wrap and/or label product.

Follow sanitization practices and health regulations and wear appropriate attire.

Stock shelves when needed.

Clean the produce department as needed.

Stays productive while punched in.

Other duties as they are assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Lift 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds regularly.

Stand for the duration of the work shift.

Reaching and pulling merchandise regularly.

May work in a cooler that is 35 degrees Fahrenheit, occasionally.
