1st & 3rd Shift Team Leader at Aldez Containers – Georgetown, Kentucky

We are actively hiring for a Team Leader:

1st Shift: 6:00AM - 2:45PM

3rd Shift: 10:00PM - 6:45AM

Duties:

• Supervise a team of 5-15 team members

· Supervises logistics operations

· Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy

• Achieve 100% customer satisfaction
• 100% on time delivery
• 100% satisfaction of quality standards
• 100% correct sequencing
• Focus on continual improvement and operational efficiency through excellence in receiving, identifying, inspecting, and assurance of quality and inventory control of inbound and outbound shipments
• Measure and report the effectiveness of activities and employees performance
• Communicate job expectations and coach employees
• Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
• Maintain records, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
• Review and communicate changes needed to established Work Instructions (WIS) as needed; continually analyze for areas to improve existing processes
• Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
• Set clear team goals
• Oversee day-to-day operation
• Discover training needs and provide coaching
• Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
• Ensure the safety of the team members assigned to your area of responsibility
• Ensure defects are within company standards as well as all other key performance indicators
• Ensure all team members are following the posted work instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized the working areas following 5S

Qualifications:

• Must pass a drug screen and Nationwide background check
• Must be flexible to work any schedule, and potential daily overtime and some weekends
• Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance
• Ability to speak, read, and write English required
• Basic math skills required
• Verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, stoop for 8-12 hour shifts
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled area (where applicable)
• Minimum 2 years fork truck experience
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience
• Ability to follow written work instructions
