Job Title: Store Lead – Ship’s Store and Customer Services
Location: Four Corners Marina – Percy Priest Lake (Nashville Area)
Position Type: Full-Time Year-Round
Reports To: Marina General Manager

Position Summary
The Store Lead is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Ship’s Store at Four Corners Marina. This role serves as the primary point of contact for marina guests and customers purchasing retail merchandise, renting boats, or inquiring about slip availability and marina services.
The Store Lead ensures a welcoming customer experience while maintaining efficient retail operations, accurate inventory management, and proper financial tracking using Marina Management Software and QuickBooks. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced marina environment during peak boating seasons.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Guest Experience
• Provide exceptional customer service to marina guests, boaters, and visitors.
• Assist customers with purchases from the Ship’s Store including boating supplies, apparel, snacks, beverages, and convenience items.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding boat rentals, marina amenities, and slip availability.
• Coordinate with marina management regarding slip availability, waitlists, and rental bookings.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Retail Store Operations
• Oversee daily operations of the Ship’s Store including opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing retail displays.
• Process sales transactions accurately through the POS system.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking merchandise.
• Ensure store cleanliness and compliance with marina standards.
Financial & Administrative Duties
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with sales tracking using QuickBooks.
• Reconcile daily sales, cash handling, and receipts.
• Assist with tracking boat rental payments and retail revenue.
• Prepare basic reports and documentation as requested by management.
Boat Rental & Slip Coordination
• Assist customers with boat rental reservations, check-in/check-out processes, and required documentation.
• Provide information on marina slips, pricing, and availability.
• Coordinate with dock staff and marina management to ensure smooth rental operations.
Team Support
• Support seasonal store staff during peak boating season.
• Assist in training new employees on store procedures, customer service expectations, and POS systems.
• Promote a positive and professional work environment.

Qualifications Required
• Previous retail, hospitality, marina, or customer service experience.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks for basic bookkeeping and reporting functions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy customer-facing environment.
• Basic computer and POS system experience.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays during peak boating season.
Preferred
• Experience working in a marina, boat rental operation, or outdoor recreation setting.
• Knowledge of boating terminology and marina operations.
• Inventory management experience.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25–40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
