This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of financial management solutions within complex SAP and cloud environments. As a Senior CFO Control Tower Solution Architect, you will architect high-availability, secure, and scalable solutions across SAP HANA, SAC, BusinessObjects, and Data Services, ensuring seamless integration with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable efficient data enrichment, system automation, and operational excellence. The position requires hands-on technical expertise, strategic oversight, and mentoring capabilities to drive team performance and innovation. You will also lead incident resolution, performance tuning, and security compliance while guiding best practices in data integration and cloud architecture. This is a remote role supporting a Washington, DC-based client, offering flexibility while contributing to mission-critical financial operations.
Accountabilities:- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of SAP-based CFO Control Tower solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, including APIs and flat files, into the financial management system.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, diagnose technical issues, and implement proactive maintenance, tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Ensure robust database security through access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, runbooks, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis during critical incidents, providing timely resolution and preventive measures.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior administrators and team members, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Stay current with SAP HANA releases, updates, and best practices, evaluating their impact on financial operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in system administration, solution architecture, or SAP technology stack management.
- Strong experience with SAP products, including SAP SAC, SAP HANA, BusinessObjects, and Data Services.
- Expertise in cloud deployments (AWS, Azure) and their impact on SAP solutions.
- Proficiency in system integration, landscape design, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring.
- Solid understanding of security concepts, including user provisioning, authorization, and SAP security notes implementation.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages for system operations and data integration.
- Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to guide cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and best practices for system optimization and operational excellence.
