Senior Accountant
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Account serves as a key member of the Finance Department, supporting the company through expert financial management, advanced accounting analysis and compliance leadership. This position will work alongside the CFO, Financial Analyst and Safran/CRT Group team in preparing and managing the companys financial records and reports. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial statements, accounting transactions and month-end/year-end close process generated by the companys information management system.
Additional responsibility shall include assisting with financial reports and documents prepared by the CFO, such as, but not limited to, the bank compliance reports, cash flow reports, and tax reports. The Senior Accountant will complete other accounting and financial duties and requirements as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee and participate in the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial accounting activities providing reliable financial insights that support effective decision making across the company.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and identify any variances between the general ledger and IFS system report balances. This includes reports and any additional information for independent auditors to perform the yearly review.
- Manage the daily reconciliation of all bank accounts, ensuring accuracy of cash balances and alignment with the general ledger.
- Execute and review all journal entries and lead the preparation of comprehensive monthly financial statements, including key areas such as inventory, workinprocess, usage fees, licensing fees, commissions, and rebates.
- Maintain ownership of CRTs routable inventory reporting, ensuring accuracy and full visibility of companyowned assets.
- Perform the monthly reconciliation of the operating bank account and deliver accurate reporting of warranty expenses and scrap activity to support informed financial oversight and operational decisionmaking.
- Support the weekly vendor payment cycle coordinated by Safran by providing timely validation, required documentation, and financial review to ensure accurate and compliant disbursements.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and accurately upload all required data into the Safran Group reporting system in accordance with corporate deadlines and standards.
- Collaborate to diagnose and resolve accounting issues arising from the utilization of the IFS ERP system, ensuring data integrity, process accuracy, and continuous improvement of financial workflows.
- Prepare and maintain a list of company fixed assets, including assets descriptions, costs, and locations.
- Manage the Accounts Payable workflow by overseeing the AP Specialist and executing critical tasks when needed to meet deadlines and internal control standards.
- Serve as an active contributor on key strategic initiatives, including IFS/ERP system upgrades and conversions, equipment utilization analyses, construction project accounting, and emerging forecasting and planning projects.
- Administer all regulatory reporting and remittances for CAT, RITA, Affordable Care Act (ACA) filings, U.S. Census requirements, and Bureau of Workers Compensation (BWC) obligations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
- Maintain current and accurate scripts and all related supporting documentation to ensure consistency, traceability, and ongoing process effectiveness.
- Work with the human resource department in verifying any employee charges on their paycheck.
- Collaborate and engage with Safran group team for tax preparation and realization of internal control campaign.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
- Five to seven years previous accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting familiarity.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply detailed technical and financial documentation.

- Previous involvement and participation in problem solving and continuous improvement projects.
- Accurately follow written and verbal instructions to ensure consistent execution of accounting and operational processes.
- Be flexible to meet or exceed productivity and competency requirements.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence, collaborate with, and support employees across all organizational tiers.
- A work history of self-motivated and detail-oriented accomplishments.
- Demonstrates flexibility and commitment to meeting deadlines, including working extended hours when business needs require.
- Demonstrates the ability to quickly assimilate and adhere to CRT/Safran policies, procedures, and compliance requirements during the introductory period.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Read, write, speak and understand the English language.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position has pre-employment testing requirements that may require fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
- Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
- Stand and/or sit for portions of the shift.
- May be required to lift heavy equipment using hoists, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other handling methods.
