Shipping Supervisor at QuikCut LLC – Columbia City, Indiana

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all shipping, receiving, and material handling operations to ensure efficient material flow, accurate inventory control, and on-time delivery of products. This role provides direct leadership to Material Handlers and coordinates closely with production, quality, purchasing, and logistics teams to support lean manufacturing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor Material Handlers and shipping personnel.
• Prioritize workload to support production schedules and customer shipments.
• Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of outgoing shipments.
• Verify shipping documentation, bills of lading, packing slips, and carrier compliance.
• Coordinate freight scheduling and communicate with carriers and logistics providers.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Oversee accurate documentation of material movements, receipts, transfers, and shipments.

• 3–5 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or material handling operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kanban, JIT).
• Experience with inventory management systems/ERP software.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
• Physical ability to lift and move materials as required.
