About This Position
Green Mountain Electric Supply is seeking a dedicated and detail oriented professional to join the inventory team in any of our locations.
Effectively assist the inventory team in maintaining established inventory goals. Provide continuous analysis of processes and offer recommendations for improvement. Provide inventory-related support to sales and warehouse teams. Provide all of the above with quality, urgency, and diplomacy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review/analysis of daily suggested stock inventory transfers
- Analysis of stock inventory levels for single products, entire product groups, and or categories
- Identify and troubleshoot inventory replenishment issues
- Identify and troubleshoot overstocking/surplus issues and transfer surplus product to other branches as needed
- Identify dead/non-selling inventory and make recommendations for liquidation and/or conversion to nonstock status
- Monitor and satisfactorily resolve inventory help desk tickets within the defined priority/time requirements
- Set up new product files and inventory settings in the software system
- Quality review and correction of new manually created product files (not created by vendor file load)
- Create supersede lists and monitor Supersede Queue to ensure timely liquidation of replaced products.
- Assist as needed in branch inventory audits.
- Spot-check list of inventory items
- Correct/update incorrect inventory
- Fill out audit results
- Communicate results and recommend/suggest items for improvement to branch managers
- Research new products and provide information and/or article for twice-monthly inventory newsletter
- Run/analyze monthly inventory reports
- Provide inventory support as needed to sales team
- Communicate stock changes (stock levels, stock locations, etc) to warehouse management
- Provide inventory/transfer/logistics support to marketing team and showroom coordinators
- Communicate system-related inventory issues to IT department or Solar Eclipse software support.
- Continuous analysis of processes and offer recommendations for process improvements
- Not limited to inventory
- Special projects

Education and/or Experience:
1-3 years equivalent work experience
