Position Overview
Schedule: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM | 7 Days per Week Availability Required
(Part Time 3-5 shifts scheduled per week)
This role requires flexibility to work a combination of Host and Expo shifts. You will be the first and last impression for our guests while also ensuring accurate and timely food delivery from the kitchen to the dining room.

Stanford’s is on the lookout for a dynamic and driven part-time host/expo to join our team at our restaurant located in Clackamas, Oregon. Pay Rate:
$17-$18 per hour plus tips
Host Responsibilities:
- Open the door for guests.
- Keep lines from forming at the door.
- Answer incoming reservation calls.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, lobby, and dining room.
- Complete reservations in the computerized reservation system.
- Keep abreast of all food & beverage venues and menus.
- Complete assigned opening, ongoing, and closing sidework
- Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Answer the telephone and facilitate guest requests.
- Notify Manager of all guest complaints
- Using the table management system, manage incoming reservations and venue floor.
- Conduct restroom checks every
- Knows our menu as well as servers.
- Assist with daily administrative work as per direction of the manager.
- Performs any and all other duties as assigned.
Expo Responsibilities:
· Inspects and approves all plates, food corrections, plate finishing and accompaniments, secures food runners, communicates between Front and Back of House, manages guest requests, hot and cold windows, and To-Go food, maintains floor cleanliness, restaurant set up and close.
· Restocks wares and condiments/sides, ensures safety and sanitation standards per Health Department requirements.
· Maintains product quality for all station ingredients, e.g., garnishes, chilled products, etc.
· Works with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
· Completes assigned opening, ongoing, and closing side work.
· Monitors ticket times and works with Team Members to ensure guests requests are honored in a timely fashion.
· Ensure plates are appropriate temperature (hot food, hot plate; cold food, cold plate).
· Maintains a safe, sanitary, and secure environment.
Requirements:Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests as well as all levels of employees in both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to provide direction in a fast-paced environment; manage time effectively and work well in a team environment.
- Must possess excellent customer relations, sales, & communication skills.
- Must always possess during employment a valid Washington State Department of Health card and any other government required cards.

- Possess the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Know and utilize table numbers and seat positions.
Physical demands and work environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, and use hands to perform essential job functions. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
