Overview
Design Department is presently seeking highly motivated Semi-Skilled Draftsmen with the ability to develop 3D product model and 2D design disclosure / drawing products for ventilation systems. These products are developed from system diagrams, design sketches, layouts and/or concepts, manufacture, assembly and test data. Candidate will be required to interface with engineering, design, and operations while developing deliverable products. The candidate must also possess sufficient written and verbal skills, as well as the ability to problem-solve and prioritize work. There are multiple openings within D452 Ventilation.
These products are developed from system diagrams, design sketches, layouts and/or concepts, manufacture, assembly and test data. There are multiple openings within D452 Ventilation.
If selected for an interview, you will be required to provide a portfolio demonstrating CAD work.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma/GED or Vocational High School diploma
- 2-6 years of relevant work experience
- Completed CAD training through an academic institution or has previous employment experience using CAD
Preferred:
- Completion of advanced CAD coursework, industry certification, or continuing education in mechanical/industrial design.
- 2-6 years of hands-on experience using advanced CAD platforms such as AutoCad, CATIA, and NX to produce 3D product models and engineering drawings
- Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering design environment supporting ventilation systems
- Familiarity with Design Standards, Military Specifications, Manufacturing Processes, Design for Six Sigma, Lean Design/Manufacturing
- A portfolio demonstrating CAD work, knowledge of Microsoft products, familiarity with basic design practices/rules and CAD tools, ability to perform design related math functions, ability to read and interpret written instructions, the ability to read and interpret drawings (blueprints), and the desire to develop skills through on-the-job experience and continued education to advance in the design profession.
