The primary focus of the Driver shall be to provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries, makes pick-ups as necessary and performs general warehouse duties. The Driver shall perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner. While performing the duties of the Driver, this employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material. This employee is required to apply sound reasoning and logic while performing daily task. Under the direction of the Branch Manager/Office Supervisor the Driver shall be responsible for shipping and receiving freight, organizing and putting away freight and distributing freight to various Speedy Glass Branches. They shall promote and contribute to the team effort by accomplishing results as needed and will possess the skills and qualifications to perform all jobs as required.

This full-time opportunity comes with a salary range from $18 to $20 an hour based on experience.

Job Duties

• Load truck accurately and safely for deliveries.
• Unload truck as needed at customer and/or Branch locations.
• Drive company vehicle to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures. Maintain appropriate licensing and acceptable driving record.
• Responsible for the appearance and serviceability of the Company Truck/s. Complete Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Fill customer orders by retrieving material from warehouse and other locations.
• Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse and company truck/s as needed.
• Report all back orders and discrepancies.
• Assist in performance of quarterly physical inventories for various branch locations.
• Pick Up, Check In, and Inventory all supplies and freight for all services provided; ensuring all product is clean and undamaged and put away properly.
• Files claims for all damaged product and supplies.
• Ensures all unused or damaged product and supplies are returned or taken care according to Speedy Glass policy.
• All other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager and/or Office Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent (GED)
• Excellent communication skills
• Superior customer relation skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Knowledge of market area
• Ability to lift 75lbs periodically, 35lbs routinely and occasionally lifting/holding above one’s head and from elevated job sites
• Possess a valid driver's license without any restrictions
