Do you thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment where hospitality drives the experience? Dock 17 at The City Forum is seeking a Front-of-House Assistant Manager to lead daily operations, support service teams, and ensure every guest leaves with a memorable experience.
As part of Project 2231, a family-owned Hospitality and Entertainment organization, you’ll work in a high-energy environment that values leadership, teamwork, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Be DoingFront of House Leadership & Guest Experience
• Lead daily FOH operations and provide active floor supervision
• Ensure exceptional guest service standards are consistently delivered
• Greet and interact with guests, assist with service needs, and resolve concerns professionally
• Maintain a strong leadership presence during peak service hours
Team Leadership & Development
• Supervise, coach, and support front-of-house staff
• Assist with training, onboarding, and performance guidance
• Promote a positive, accountable, and guest-focused work culture
• Step in to support service positions when needed
Operational Execution
• Coordinate service flow between front and back of house
• Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and labor coordination
• Monitor service speed, cleanliness standards, and safety compliance
• Support cash handling procedures and shift reporting
• Assist with inventory oversight and supply restocking
Facility & Safety Standards
• Ensure FOH areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
• Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing leadership duties
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or FOH leadership experience required
• Strong leadership presence and team development skills
• Guest-first mindset with professional communication abilities
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: 32.5–40 hours per week
Schedule: Afternoons, evenings, and nights on weekdays; weekends and holidays required (excluding Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day)
