Client Transportation at White Sands Treatment Center of Tampa LLC – Plant City, Florida

We are seeking a full-time strong professional to join our team as a Patient Transporter for our facility in Plant City. The Transporter is responsible for driving patients to/from the airport and our facility. Driving may also be to/from our other facilities in Fort Myers and Tampa. He/she may also be performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Transportation Manager. The Transporter will also assist patients on site to learn and follow rules, regulations, and routines during detoxification and in the residential program.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport clients using company vehicles between the facilities, airports following all traffic laws and organizational policies.
• Adhere to time schedules
• Responsible for facilitating patient intake procedure (i.e. searching of belongings, uds, documentation, etc.)
• Responsible for retrieving belongings via storage request forms
• Responsible for delivering patient luggage for discharge
• Enforce program rules and regulations in a firm but fair manner
• Confront counter-productive behavior appropriately
• Provide courteous, professional, and patient interactions with all clients at all times
• Adapt to different types of patients
• Maintain healthy boundaries
• Conduct searches and drug screens upon admission
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and client confidentiality requirements.
• Follow company protocols for emergencies, accidents, and unexpected situations.

• High School or equivalent required
• Two years of work experience in substance abuse and mental health field
• Experience preferred in addiction recovery
• Valid Florida Class “E” Driver’s License without violations
• Prior driving or transportation experience beneficial.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain patient, calm, and professional.
• Reliable, punctual, and organized
