JOB OVERVIEW
As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure all baked items meet our high standards of quality and freshness. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of baking techniques.

Internal: Managers and hourly staff
External: Guests
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and bake bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other items according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Measure and mix ingredients to create doughs, batters, and other preparations
- Ensure all products are baked to perfection, with attention to texture, flavor, and presentation
- Monitor inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, and communicate needs to the kitchen manager
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with food safety regulations
- Decorate and finish baked goods with icing, glaze, or other decorative touches as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of baked goods for service
- Stay up to date on baking trends and techniques to bring new ideas to the menu
- Ensure all items are consistently made to meet or exceed guest expectations

Requirements:ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar role in a restaurant or bakery environment
- Solid understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and produce consistent results
- Creativity and passion for baking and desserts
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail, especially in presentation and quality control
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Formal training or certification in baking or pastry arts
- Experience with gluten-free, vegan, or other specialty baked goods
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant setting
