Senior Electrical Estimator Lead High-Value Projects for Dayton's Business of the Year

This position offers a $20,000 sign on bonus with 5k to be paid at the end of each 3 month period. Monthly car allowance is also available as part of the position

Job Overview:

  • Company: Reliable Electric.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $115,000 - $120,000+ per year plus Signing, Performance, and Year-End Bonuses

  • Location: Dayton, OH (Onsite).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday.

  • Project Scope: Multi-family, Hotels, Hospitals, and Industrial Projects up to $5M.

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

The Opportunity: You will join an award-winning, third-generation family business where your expertise directly shapes the financial success of large-scale electrical installations. How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Formulate detailed cost estimates for electrical projects valued up to $5 million to ensure profitable and competitive bidding.

  • Interpret complex blueprints and specifications to develop comprehensive RFP and RFI documents.

  • Orchestrate project "war room" meetings with Project Managers to refine estimates 24 hours prior to submission deadlines.

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with general contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to secure new business.

  • Execute thorough value engineering analysis to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety standards.

  • Conduct on-site project walkthroughs every two months to monitor accuracy between estimated costs and field reality.

  • Mentor team members through the estimating process while utilizing Accubid software to maintain historical data trends.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years of dedicated experience in electrical estimating.

  • Proven track record of successfully estimating multi-family, hospital, or hotel projects.

  • Proficiency in using Accubid estimating software.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and technical specifications.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills necessary for calculating labor, material, and overhead costs.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related field.

  • Technical proficiency in Bluebeam and ComputerEase software.

  • Advanced understanding of electrical industry parts, materials, and local codes.
