Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all site security and access control functions to ensure the safety of personnel and protection of company assets. This role leads a team of Security Officers and is accountable for delivering a reliable, compliant, and effective site security program aligned with operational needs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Security Program Management: Develop, implement, and oversee site security and access control programs to ensure safe and secure operations.
Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers by setting clear expectations, assigning work, and maintaining accountability for performance.
Access Control Oversight: Manage site access systems and processes to ensure controlled, consistent, and compliant entry and exit across the operation.
Workforce Planning: Ensure adequate staffing levels to support ongoing operations, projects, and shutdown activities.
Procedures & Training: Develop and maintain security procedures and provide training to ensure consistent execution of site security protocols.
Performance Management: Establish and monitor KPIs, conduct regular check-ins, and drive continuous improvement in team performance.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all security activities comply with company policies, site procedures, and applicable regulations.
Coordination & Communication: Work closely with site leadership and departments to support operational needs and maintain effective communication on security matters.
Incident Support: Support response to security-related incidents and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required
• Experience in security operations, law enforcement, or a related field
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Knowledge of site access control systems and security procedures
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
Preferred
• Experience in mining, industrial, or large-site security operations
• Experience managing contract security teams
• Familiarity with electronic access control and monitoring systems
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Combination of field and office work in an active industrial environment
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, including uneven surfaces
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to respond to incidents across the site as needed
