Job Overview

Mickey Truck Bodies is hiring a Team Leader for our 1st shift Van Plant. This is a hands-on leadership position combining assembly, welding, and team leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for experienced assemblers, welders, or lead operators looking to grow into or continue in a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support van plant production on 1st shift
• Assign work, monitor production flow, and meet daily output goals
• Troubleshoot equipment, programming and assembly issues
• Inspect parts and in-process work to ensure quality standards
• Train and mentor employees on assembly processes and safety
• Enforce safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Communicate production updates and issues to management
• Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing or metal fabrication experience
• Prior experience as a team leader, or senior technician preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and tape measures
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a production or fabrication shop environment
• Reliable attendance and ability to work overnight 2nd shift

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
• Ability to bend, reach, and work around machinery
• Comfortable working in a noisy manufacturing environment
