OverviewWe currently have a client in Newport Beach, CA looking for Medical Assistant!

Focus Staff is seeking a Medical Assistant who is highly motivated and energetic.

Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary)
Shift: 5x8 Days

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Certified through ASCP.
• CPR Certified.
• 2+ years working in a Medical Assistant capacity is preferred.

Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patient for examination by assessing condition, taking vital signs, and/or documenting medical record.
• May assist Physician and/or technician with procedure(s).
• Monitor response to treatment and medication.
• Document patient results. Administer medication and/or injections.
• Setup IV if necessary.
• Perform routine laboratory functions such as obtaining specimens and ordering analysis.
• Assist with front office duties as needed.
