The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the Servbank facility. This role ensures all common areas, offices, restrooms, and breakrooms are consistently cleaned, stocked, and well-maintained to support employees, guests, and company operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Daily Duties
- Clean and remove fingerprints from front doors and glass surfaces
- Set up lobby furniture and pillows; wipe down all tables and surfaces
- Sweep lobby and stairways; polish and shine chrome on stairs
- Vacuum and sanitize elevators
- Empty all trash and recycling receptacles; transport waste to designated collection areas
- Clean and disinfect trash receptacles and replace liners
- Dust and sanitize horizontal surfaces, including desks, counters, tables, filing cabinets, and bookshelves
- Vacuum carpets throughout the building
- Disinfect common areas; vacuum and stage games and shared items
- Clean and sanitize breakroom surfaces (horizontal and vertical), including sinks, microwaves, tables, and seating
- Sweep, mop, or vacuum breakroom floors
- Stock breakroom coffee and snack supplies (provided by Servbank)
Restroom Duties
- Restock paper products, soap, and other necessary supplies
- Empty trash and sanitary napkin receptacles; clean, disinfect, and replace liners
- Clean and disinfect mirrors, dispensers, fixtures, sinks, counters, toilets, toilet seats, and urinals
- Disinfect door handles, partitions, light switches, and other high-touch surfaces
- Thoroughly sweep and mop restroom floors using disinfectant cleaners
- Report plumbing or maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager
Weekly Duties
- Dust high vents, door tops, door frames, ceiling corners, and edges
- Dust tops of bookshelves in cubicles, offices, and restrooms
- Clean baseboards, chair bases, window coverings, and window sills
- Remove spots and smudges from walls
Monthly Duties
- Check cleaning supply inventory and submit requests through the Facilities Manager
- Clean and sanitize refrigerators
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and breakdown of company events and strategic meetings as needed
- Cover security guard breaks and lunches and issue temporary badges in the absence of the Office Manager
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, disinfectants, and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
