SUMMARY
The Lead Production Worker supports the Production Supervisor by overseeing daily production, distribution, and donation operations. A Lead Production Worker helps ensure workers, equipment, and materials are used efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. In the absence of the Production Supervisor, the Lead Production Worker takes full responsibility for managing the production and donation department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Oversee daily production, distribution, and storage activities
- Make sure materials, equipment, and staff are used efficiently
- Set production priorities and schedules
- Adjust schedules when equipment or other issues arise
- Work with the Production Supervisor to maintain product quality
- Check machines and equipment to ensure they work properly
- Monitor employees to ensure work standards are followed
- Collect and organize basic production data
- Request needed tools, equipment, and supplies
- Communicate with management about maintenance issues and improvements
- Help share and enforce safety rules and standards
- Work safely and use required protective equipment
- Follow all company policies and safety guidelines
