Are you passionate about empowering children, sparking creativity, and supporting the next generation of young learners?
Miami Children’s Museum is looking for an enthusiastic, solutions-driven Assistant Site Coordinator to join our Afterschool team at Goulds Elementary School! This position works side-by-side with the Site Coordinator to ensure a safe, engaging, and educational experience for all children while guiding instructional staff and helping shape high-quality programming.
What You'll Do:
- Monitor daily program activities to ensure safety, student engagement, and developmentally appropriate fun.
- Assist in designing and delivering exciting educational and recreational activities that enrich student learning.
- Observe and coach instructional staff, providing encouragement, real-time feedback, and support during trainings.
- Help address and resolve behavior management challenges with confidence and professionalism.
- Ensure student evaluations, attendance, and program data are completed accurately and on time.
- Use internal and external data to enhance program quality and improve student outcomes.
- Build strong communication channels with supervisors, parents, school personnel, and Museum staff.
- Support child recruitment, registration, family engagement, and student retention efforts.
- Maintain curriculum fidelity and assist in its implementation across classrooms.
- Maintain positive relationships with staff, families, and the school community.
- And of course… handle other tasks as needed to help our program shine!
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience developing educational activities.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate, lead, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a Level 2 background check (fingerprinting) and drug screening.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.
