Job Summary
The Clinical Solutions Specialist provides product, clinical, and sales support to PMLS teams, and Mindray customers for health systems, hospitals, ambulatory care centers, and distribution partners. Enterprise Selling Team (EST) member assisting with development of customer specific solution-based presentations of Mindray products. Provides input to marketing regarding new products, identifying target markets and the needs of those markets.
Location can be Atlanta, Charlotte or Orlando
Essential Function:
- Partner with EST/Sales Team to identify and develop NDO strategy for clinical applications by engaging customer, identifying, and addressing operational challenges, and creating customer-based workflow solutions.
- Participates along with EST, in development of strategic agenda for customer calls, coordination of on-site workflow, demonstrations, and presentations. Assist Sales Representatives in presentation preparations and demonstrations including equipment set up. Provide audience specific value-based presentations to facilitate sales process.
- Conducts on-site assessment of departmental specific workflows, current inventory, and discovery of challenges. Partner with EST/Sales to develop Hospital Roadmap, identify potential hospital wide solutions and support the quoting process to facilitate the solution.
- Maintains ongoing communication and participation in pre-sales process with EST/Sales Rep, and customers to ensure optimal clinical support for all PMLS sales.
- Participates and leads clinical follow up on-site visits and customer calls to continue to grow partnership across multiple modalities. Promotes Mindray product line from departmental to C-suite level through strategic educational discussions and solution-based selling.
- Functions as a collaborative partner with internal Mindray customers such as Marketing, Tech Support, Service, Field Specialists, and Product Management to align customers with resources for clinical applications.
- Identify, develop, and coordinate clinical sales educational content. Participate in field-based peer mentoring of new hires, aligning with organizational/clinical solutions specialist job expectations and growth strategies.
- Organize Operational Analytics for Mindray Leadership teams including Quarterly Business Review of Individual productivity.
- Attend trade shows, local and regional sales meetings to maintain communication with internal and external Mindray customers to maintain focus on clinical solutions.
- Maintain Organizational and Clinical Solution Specialist specific competencies. Engage and utilize Mindray resources to maintain and growth in product and clinical sales knowledge base.
- Employee will be compensated based on sales effectiveness/revenue generation and accountable to annual team quota for BeneVision DMS sales that are combined with patient monitoring and interoperability solution.
Decision-Making Authority:
- Person must be able to independently conduct needs assessment of customers monitoring requirements, and development of system-wide clinical solutions, presentable to all levels of healthcare within the organization.
- Position works independently in the field with high level of productivity of the presales process. Achieve goals through independent problem solving and decision making based on internal and external customer needs. Identifying and setting priorities for effective time management to meet deadlines and taking initiative and accountability of job performance.
Position Specifications: 1. Knowledge/Educational Requirements
- RN with a current license from an accredited nursing institution. BSN preferred.
- Advanced business or clinical degree preferred
- 2-3 years clinical sales experience
- 4+ years active nursing experience in nursing specialty area directly using cardiac monitoring on the acute patient
- Knowledge of advance cardiac care, hemodynamic, Swan Ganz and Cardiac Output monitoring
- Knowledge of hospital buying process in the capital equipment environment and life cycle planning associated with solution based development

- Strong, clear, and concise verbal communication skills including active listening, engaging, confidence, and customer-focused approach to deliver strategic, value-added clinical sales presentation
- Strong social intelligence skills to collaborate and build trusting relationships within all levels of both Mindray and Healthcare Organizations
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface with many levels of marketing, sales, and engineering personnel at the divisional or corporate level as well as with all levels of hospital personnel including Nurse Managers, Directors of Nursing, Staff Nurses, and Purchasing Agents
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce application
- Technical and clinical understanding of patient monitoring applications throughout the healthcare organizations
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs, abrupt schedule changes, required time/resource constraints, and diverse customer requests while maintaining high level of product presentations and positive customer interactions.
- Independent, initiative-taking, self-motivated member of the with the ability to achieve leadership-directed goals autonomously.
3. Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Must be able to stand and speak in front of a group for periods of 2-5 hours, several times a day either in a hospital environment or at the corporate headquarters training center.
- Must be located within 40 miles from a major airport
- Must be able to travel 80% with 3-4 overnights a week.
