SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

Reports to: VP Supply Chain Integration

Summary Objective
This role is responsible for managing a team of fulfillment specialist/expeditors with a focus on monitoring flow or shipment of inbound materials to conform with production schedule. This includes daily interaction with Equipment and Material suppliers, Procurement, Production and Warehousing team members to assure material delivered in a timely fashion.

Essential Functions

  • Adheres to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Manage and oversee the order fulfillment department to ensure efficient and timely order processing from Procurement and proactive monitoring of Suppliers’ delivery performance
  • Overseeing communication with suppliers on required PO delivery modifications to ensure alignment with any changes to the production schedule
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on order fulfillment progress and results
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement and Production teams to ensure all required materials for project builds are tracking on schedule while highlighting any potential risk items
  • Implement and maintain Project open order report through proactive coordination with suppliers
  • Analyze order and delivery data to track performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Work with Logistics team to manage inbound shipments of large equipment
  • Develop and enforce safety standards and procedures in the warehouse
  • Train and manage order fulfillment staff, promoting a team atmosphere and ensuring high levels of customer service
  • Forecast future order and delivery needs and work with supply chain management to ensure necessary supplies are ordered and available
  • Contribute with the extended team to the development of a Supply Chain Control Tower

Competencies

  • Proven experience as an Order Fulfillment Manager or similar role
  • Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in relevant software including MS Office and databases
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. This typically occurs when working at the Fabrication facility or visiting a Suppliers facility.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Additionally, the ability to perform audits of suppliers’ facilities or visiting a job site may require extensive walking in a manufacturing and/or construction environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, 40 or more hours per week.

Travel

Up to 20% of travel time could be expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  • BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
  • Proficient Microsoft Office
  • Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience
  • Supply Chain Experience
