Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. Opening Summer of 2025, COTA’s amusement park is a 20-acre theme park featuring two first of their kind Roller Coasters and over three dozen rides.
Job Description:
A Retail Coordinator bridges the gap between store operations, visual merchandising, and inventory management, ensuring a seamless, high-quality customer experience. They are responsible for executing, merchandising, maintaining inventory, coordinating, and managing daily tasks to drive sales. This role often includes training staff, maintaining, and, as a key contact point, for corporate communication.
Requirements:Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Merchandising & Inventory: Execute product merchandising, planograms, and signage standards. Manage stock levels, including receiving, replenishing, and organizing the sales floor and backroom.
- Purchase Order Entry: Accurately enter all POs
- Facilitate marketing merchandise requests for experiential campaigns and giveaways
- Operational Support: Monitor daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures. Organize the flow of goods from trucks to the sales floor.
- Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional customer service, handle inquiries, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise retail associates, providing coaching to improve performance.
- Communication & Reporting: Act as a liaison between store management and the corporate office. Report on inventory, sales metrics (KPIs), and customer feedback.
Required Skills:
- Experience: 1-2 years of retail experience, often with supervisory or operational responsibility.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with customers.
- Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and basic computer skills.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data and inventory reports to improve store performance.
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
