Essential Functions:

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered end-of-life care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and professional standards in a hospice start up environment. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who is passionate about supporting patients, families, and staff during some of life’s most meaningful moments.

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all hospice nursing services
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and standards of care
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff to promote excellence and accountability
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support quality patient outcomes
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical operations
  • Monitor quality assurance, performance improvement, and patient satisfaction initiatives
  • Participate in strategic planning and support organizational growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current license as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas and/or in accordance with the Board of Nurse .
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hospice or home health experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of hospice regulations and standards.
  • Home Care Home Base experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
