Site Manager β Cannabis Production Facility

π° Salary: $70,000β$75,000 per year (DOE)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to oversee daily operations at our cannabis production facility in Worcester, MA. This leadership role manages cultivation, processing, packaging, quality control, and facility operations to ensure efficient production, regulatory compliance, and exceptional product quality.
The Site Manager will lead department supervisors, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive operational performance to meet production goals. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Leadership
Oversee daily facility operations including cultivation, processing, packaging, and post-harvest activities.
Supervise and support department leads to maintain efficient workflows and production schedules.
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and employee performance.
Serve as the primary liaison between site operations and senior leadership.
Production & Quality
Monitor cultivation performance and maintain optimal plant health and growing conditions.
Oversee post-harvest processes including trimming, curing, packaging, and order fulfillment.
Track inventory and production data using regulatory systems such as Metrc.
Evaluate production metrics and implement improvements to meet productivity and quality targets.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal cannabis regulations.
Enforce workplace safety protocols, PPE requirements, and employee training.
Conduct regular operational and compliance audits.
Facility & Equipment Management
Oversee equipment maintenance and facility operations to ensure safe and reliable performance.
Manage inventory and ordering of operational supplies and materials.
Communication & Reporting
Lead daily and weekly production meetings with department leads.
Provide production reports, KPI updates, and operational insights to senior leadership.
Coordinate hiring needs and staffing updates with HR and ownership.
Required
Must be 21 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of management experience in production, manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environments
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational tracking systems
Preferred
Bachelorβs degree in Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Engineering, or related field
Experience in cannabis cultivation or extraction operations
Familiarity with Metrc or similar compliance systems
