About This Position
Charleston Peak Winery is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Cellar Technician 2 to oversee property maintenance while supporting cellar operations as part of the winery production team. This role plays an important part in ensuring both winery facilities and production environments remain safe, organized, and fully operational.
Accountability
This position reports directly to the General Manager for facilities operations and works closely with senior members of the cellar team to support winery production activities. They will have weekly meetings to discuss new and continuing issues on property. and is a full-time position working approx. 40 hours per week, with overtime and weekends/holidays expected when needed.

- Perform advanced cellar operations; such as blending, clarification, and stabilization of wines.
- Conduct barrel maintenance, topping, and wine transfers.
- Perform various lab tests and analyses on grapes, must, and wine samples.
- Monitor and maintain cellar inventories.
- Assist in the training and supervision of Harvest Interns.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
- Provide basic maintenance to the estate, including the vineyard.
- Monitor and maintain winery facilities, including buildings, equipment, and outdoor spaces
- Identify and address maintenance issues across the property in a timely manner
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs when appropriate
- Coordinate and schedule outside vendors for specialized repairs or services
- Maintain communication with vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed properly and on schedule
- Track facility issues, vendor contacts, and project status using the winery's vendor contact system
- Maintain lighting, signage, equipment, and public areas to ensure functionality and presentation
- Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including landscaping coordination and weather-related preparations
- Work collaboratively with the tasting room and cellar teams to address operational facility needs and report issues to the GM in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and communicate restocking needs
Professional Requirements

- Computer systems knowledge including Windows OS, MS-Office & Google Docs.

Physical Requirements
- Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Safely and repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Be at least 21 years of age, and able to taste wine frequently.
