POSITION: Intake Specialist (“Navigator”)
LOCATION: Elizabethtown, Kentucky

QUALIFICATIONS:
• excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• ability to learn and retain information quickly
• ability to multitask
• attention to detail
• general computer proficiency
• bachelor's degree
• preference will be given to candidates with experience working with substance use disorder patients, peer support specialists, or who are familiar with the legal issues associated with substance abuse

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TRAINING:
• answer phones with professionalism, courtesy, and compassion
• make excellent first impressions on behalf of Stepworks
• offer hope to potential patients and their family members
• perform intake screens (new patient evaluations)
• verify patients’ insurance coverage
• communicate professionally with Stepworks team members and outside referral sources
• documentation in our electronic system
• take after-hours call according to a rotating schedule

SHIFT: Wednesday - Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
