About This Position

Summary

Brightline is looking for a motivated, experienced, and dependable Maintenance Technician to assist in servicing our portfolio of residential and commercial properties. The Maintenance Technician helps protect physical assets by conducting general maintenance repairs as well as preventative maintenance across properties in the Ann Arbor area. We seek the right person to join us as we continue to add value to real estate and make our community a better place in which to live and work.

Duties/Responsibilities

Complete necessary maintenance and repair tasks at residential and commercial properties and ensure the reliability of building systems. This includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, basic drywall repairs, and other general interior/exterior repairs.Perform other general building maintenance and unit turns as requested or as preventively scheduled.Maintain positive working relationships with tenants and respond to requests and issues in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.Coordinate with other maintenance team members as well as outside vendors.Document maintenance and repair information electronically in accordance with established procedures.Comply with all fire/life/health/occupational safety procedures and standards.Collaborate with Leasing and Property Management teams.Utilize service issue software to establish priorities and set schedules.Serve as a dependable colleague on our team alongside other key stakeholders.Perform other related duties as assigned by management across our portfolio of properties.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a maintenance technicianExperience with residential, commercial, and/or industrial buildings including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systemsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflowExperience with service tickets/work order software including phone apps is a plusExperience supporting other technicians or helping coordinate maintenance activities is a plusAcute attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skillsAbility to understand and follow both verbal and written instructionsHigh school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plusValid driver’s license

Job Type

Full-time; potential for occasional on-call work
