Position Summary:
The Marketing and Volunteer Coordinator will support the Adult and Teen Volunteer Programs while assisting with marketing functions such as social media management, graphic design, website updates, and internal employee engagement initiatives. This role will provide administrative support to ensure the success of community outreach programs, volunteer recruitment and retention, and marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and passionate about community engagement.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteer Program Coordination:
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of adult and teen volunteers.
- Coordinate volunteer appreciation events, trainings, and engagement activities.
- Maintain volunteer scheduling, tracking, and compliance documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for volunteers and department directors, ensuring smooth coordination of volunteer duties across departments.
- Manage communication with volunteers via email, phone, and newsletters.
Marketing and Community Outreach:
- Assist in the creation of social media content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to promote community engagement, hospital events, and volunteer opportunities.
- Design basic marketing materials (flyers, graphics, brochures) using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Provide updates and assist with managing content on the organization's website.
- Assist with employee morale events and internal engagement activities, such as holiday parties, staff appreciation events, and wellness initiatives.
- Support marketing campaigns and outreach programs that align with hospital and foundation goals.
Administrative and Event Support:
- Support logistics for special events, fundraisers, and health fairs.
- Track volunteer and community engagement metrics to report on program success.
- Maintain marketing and volunteer program databases, ensuring accurate records and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support outreach initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support marketing, outreach, and volunteer engagement.
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- 1–2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or marketing preferred.
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating marketing materials.
- Previous experience working in healthcare, nonprofit, or community-based programs is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and basic website editing platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, staff, and community partners.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling administrative responsibilities.
