About the Role:
The Advocate plays a critical role in representing and supporting individuals or groups to ensure their rights and interests are effectively communicated and protected. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, law, public administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in advocacy, case management, or client support roles.
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and social service systems within the United States.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse populations.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, law, or a related discipline.
- Certification in advocacy or mediation.
- Experience working with underserved or marginalized communities.
- Familiarity with digital case management tools and client databases.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish and English.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and circumstances to develop tailored advocacy plans.
- Provide direct support and guidance to clients, ensuring they understand their rights and available options.
- Collaborate with legal professionals, social services, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive support.
- Prepare and present cases or appeals on behalf of clients to relevant authorities or institutions.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, case progress, and outcomes to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
