About This Position

Experienced Assistant Office Manager (Dental Office Experience Required)

Full-Time | Onsite

We are seeking a Dental Office Manager Assistant (OMA) to support the daily administrative and operational functions of a busy dental practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented dental professional with hands-on front-office experience who thrives in execution, coordination, and patient support.

The OMA works closely with the Office Manager and focuses on front-office operations, documentation, scheduling support, and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily front-office operations including scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and billing support

  • Maintain accurate patient, insurance, and financial records in practice management systems

  • Assist with end-of-day closeouts, documentation uploads, and verification

  • Support supply ordering, delivery tracking, and issue escalation

  • Assist Office Manager with onboarding tasks, training coordination, and administrative documentation

  • Support team scheduling processes as directed

  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments, insurance questions, and billing

  • Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, and preventive measures

  • Support doctors with treatment planning, overcoming patient barriers, and scheduling follow-up treatments

  • Escalate complex patient or account issues to the Office Manager

  • Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies

  • Assist with claims support, payment posting coordination, and revenue tracking

Qualifications
  • 1–3 years Front Desk experience in a dental office (required)

  • Experience with dental insurance, claims and EOBs (required)

  • Experience with Dentrix (preferred)

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and documentation skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting

  • Professional communication skills and strong attention to detail

Work Environment
  • Full-time, onsite position at the practice location

  • Business casual professional environment

  • Desk-based role with frequent patient and team interaction throughout the office


Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm
Friday, 8am - 3pm
