Job Description
- Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and packaging processes.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Must be able to read and speak English clearly
- Basic math skills combined with basic computer skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to assess equipment and demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control procedures
- Ability to operate packing machinery or equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Responsibilities:
Organizational Relationships- Identify and prepare proper containers for packing.
- Accurately pack finished goods according to company specifications and quality standards.
- Understand and complete packing quotas for the day
- Understand different packing requirements to include, size, product, labels, lot number, expiry date and how to pack in what type of containers.
- By visual inspection, identify and communicate with operators any discrepancies such as print label, weight and seal (leakers) and move to appropriate rework and or waste bins.
- Empties waste bins as needed and ensure clean and safe lifts.
- Identify “pinch points” in work area
- Support changeover at direction of operator
- Completes all data driven applications and or paperwork as required.
- Operate and maintain a clean and safe working environment using GMP and PPE policies
- Communicates in a clear concise manner.
- Opportunity to work overtime if needed
- This position reports to the Production Manager(s) within the production department and dotted line to the room operator during work hours.
Physical Demands
Work Environment- Employee is regularly required to stand, bend, squat, walk, use hands to lift and or work with machine parts and materials.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Climb up and down ladder or steps.
This is an indoor food processing environment that may have wet floors, humid and/or dusty
conditions. The ambient noise level does not currently require the use of ear plugs although these
are available. This facility utilizes known food allergens in production.
5am-4pm M-T and Fridays when necessary
