About This Position
Description:
As a Receiving Team Member, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of our receiving process under the supervision of the Receiving Manager. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the receiving of shipments, ensuring the accuracy and quality of incoming products, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the receiving area.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Assist in the receiving of shipments by unloading delivery trucks, checking in merchandise, and verifying accuracy against purchase orders.
- Inspect products for quality and condition, reporting any damages or discrepancies to the Receiving Manager.
- Assist with the proper storage and handling of incoming merchandise, including labeling, sorting, and stocking shelves or storage areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving area, including sweeping floors, removing packaging materials, and disposing of trash.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as directed by the Receiving Manager, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate the timely distribution of products to retail shelves or storage areas.
- Communicate effectively with the Receiving Manager and other team members regarding delivery schedules, product quality issues, and any other relevant information.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in training sessions and meetings as required to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Receiving Manager to support the overall operation of the receiving department.

- Be an ambassador for the company and maintain professionalism in and outside of work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Required: Background check, Texas Food Handler Certification and Pallet Jack Certification.
Working Conditions:
- A typical work week for this position is 40-45 hours. Hours vary based on needs of the market and the department.
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting objects up to 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist movements.
- Exposure to hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment is possible.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as phones, computers, fax machines, and copiers may be required.
