SAP Lead at G-3 Chickadee Purchaser LLC – Houston, Texas

G‑3 Chickadee—formerly part of Goodyear Chemical—is undergoing a major transformation. As a newly independent, Private Equity–backed organization, we are modernizing our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES, cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for continued growth.

The SAP Lead will serve as the primary technical and functional expert responsible for overseeing the successful

implementation, integration, and ongoing support of SAP solutions within the organization. This role requires leading cross-

functional teams to design, develop, and deploy SAP modules that align with business objectives and enhance operational

efficiency. The SAP Lead will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage project timelines, and

ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards. Additionally, this position involves mentoring team members,

troubleshooting complex issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize SAP system performance.

Ultimately, the SAP Lead will play a critical role in enabling the organization to leverage SAP technology to achieve strategic

goals and maintain competitive advantage.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring timely delivery and quality of SAP solutions
• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of SAP modules and enhancements in alignment with business needs
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, architect effective end-to-end business processes, translate them into technical specifications, and provide expert guidance
• Oversee system testing, data migration, and user training to ensure smooth deployment and adoption of SAP systems
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize SAP functionality and user experience
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to SAP systems
• Mentor and support SAP team members to build technical expertise and promote knowledge sharing

What You Bring

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP implementation, configuration, and support.
• Proven experience leading SAP projects and managing cross-functional teams.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration and cloud-based SAP solutions.
• Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment with complex business processes.
• Experience working with offshore teams and directing Managed Service Provider teams.

Our Ideal Candidate

• SAP certification in relevant modules or project management (e.g., PMP, SAP Certified Application Associate)
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies in SAP project delivery
• Advanced knowledge of integration tools and middleware related to SAP environments
• Strong understanding of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, or relevant areas depending on business needs
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
