About This Position

Description:

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks to receive, store, distribute and ship materials, parts, supplies and equipment to support production line and custom assembly manufacturing activities. The Inventory Control Coordinator works under limited supervision and follows standard procedures and practices to complete tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages, tracks, and audits stock levels to ensure accurate inventory records, optimal stock availability, and efficient warehouse operations.
  • Prepares part kits for distribution to production floor, cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies.
  • Utilize inventory software to track incoming goods, update stock databases, issue parts to manufacturing floor and engineering, and generate inventory reports.
  • Maintaining and updating required inventory levels for goods, products, and materials
  • Perform cycle counts in the stockroom and process inventory transactions as requested, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain organized records using ERP systems and basic computer applications.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Handles material handling adhering to Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
  • Coordinates inventory management concerns within and outside the department on matters involving information sharing, explanation, or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
  • Self-starter, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with MRP systems, ERP systems, Inventory Management systems
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office tools: Excel, and Word
  • Working knowledge of material handling procedures
  • Able to work weekends and evenings as required to meet company objectives.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of relevant prior experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or customer service
  • 2+ years’ experience with Inventory Management Systems (IMS), ERP systems, and MRP systems
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License
