Airline Flight Coordinator at LSG Sky Chefs – Coraopolis, Pennsylvania
About This Position
Shift: 5am-1:30pm
Operate business 7 days/week, 365 days/year.
No Public Transportation - Not located @ the airport
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read, interpret and comprehend airline materials including menu books, charter summaries, MSDS sheets, and emergency/safety procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner.
Ability to comprehend and understand basic math skills.
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for entire working shift.
Must be able to stand on a daily basis for entire shift.
Must be able to walk/stoop/bend/stand for entire work shift.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and push up to 70 lbs. with use of rolling carts
Must be able to work around moving parts & wet floors
Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment (including nights, weekends, holidays subject to change)
Must have good organizational skills and adaptable to frequent changes.
Must be able to work well under pressure while maintaining composure.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Maintains sanitation standards in accordance with Company policy and USDA/FDA/HACCP regulations
- Complete appropriate HACCP paperwork
- Audit food and/or equipment for flights.
- Review menu books with cooks and food preparers.
- Complete inventories (ordering/receiving) forward to Materials Department in a timely manner to ensure delivery for flights.
- Receive/log/store in bound products.
- Stock inflight cooler & freezer practicing FIFO.
- Ensure established guidelines and diagrams are followed.
- Establish and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Prioritize daily work duties accordingly to impact productivity
- Assist on charters, special orders, and job coverage as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
