Premier Home Pros, LLC is a privately owned home improvement company operating in 17 locations. We are experiencing strong, sustained growth and are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and operational excellence across our multi-entity organization.

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and ensuring compliance with GAAP and all applicable tax regulations. This position is responsible for general ledger management, financial reporting, payroll accounting, and payroll tax compliance, and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, experience in a multi-location environment, and deep familiarity with payroll tax laws and reporting requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

General Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely coding of transactions to correct G/L accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows)
  • Perform monthly close procedures and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation as required.
  • Support internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP.

Operational & Analytical Support

  • Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with KPI development, tracking, and financial metric reporting.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Contribute to system enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Participate in ERP implementation planning and transition activities.
  • Provide financial analysis and support ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Lead payroll accounting activities, including general ledger reconciliations, tax calculations, and timely remittance of federal, state, and local obligations.
  • Ensure full compliance with multi-state payroll tax regulations by preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual filings (e.g., 941, 940, W-2) and staying current on regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with HR and external payroll partners to resolve discrepancies, support year-end reporting, and ensure accurate, on-time payroll processing.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s degree or CPA preferred)
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience (public, private, or combination)

Core Competencies & Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced understanding of payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with QuickBooks Online preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementation or system conversions is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in multi-site and/or multi-entity environments
  • Demonstrated experience with payroll accounting and payroll tax compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $65,000–$80,000 (competitive and commensurate with experience)
