Weld Supervisor - 2nd Shift at QuikCut LLC – Fort Wayne, Indiana

QuikCut, LLC is GROWING! We're seeking a skilled and experienced Weld Shop Supervisor to help oversee our welding operations on 2nd shift in our Columbia City location. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of welders and welding support staff.
• Ensure all welding work meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Train and mentor welding staff, providing guidance on best practices and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers, client engineers and other stakeholders as needed to maximize efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
• Develop and implement welding procedures and protocols.
• Supervise a team including approving time, monitoring attendance, and performance management.
• This position will generally be a 50/50 split of your time – half operating, half in supervisory tasks

• Proven experience as a welder, 5+ years MIG and TIG preferred
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Understanding and willingness to utilize Lean manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in various positions.
