JOB PURPOSE:

The Supervisor contributes to the day-to-day operations of The Bartolotta Restaurants seasonal beer garden, Roundhouse. Ensures consistency in daily standard operating procedures to follow Bartolotta standards and expectations. Supervises the team to ensure efficient workflows and consistency; mentors staff in providing exceptional guest experiences. Oversees management of property operations when the Manager is absent.

  • Manage a small staff of crew members through daily operations.
  • Maintain daily reporting and log books.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists and participates in food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
  • Assists with the workflow of day-to-day operations by creating team objectives, assigning, and delegating tasks.
  • Ensures the beer garden is in line with all Bartolotta standard operating procedures.
  • Communicates regularly and consistently with the Beer Garden Manager regarding all issues that happen on a shift.
  • Ensures all storage, service and stock areas are maintained daily with the highest level of detail.
  • Maintains the highest level of environmental excellence for guests.
  • Ensures high standards of guest service at all times.
  • Creates a positive work environment in line with our mission, vision, and core values.
  • Supervises the team and ensures checklist duties are complete.
  • Trains new hires to ensure they understand their roles.
  • Uses proper judgment and when necessary, request identification and adhere to all alcohol service policies.
  • Perform financial activities such as accurate cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and time edits.
  • Maintains stock at required operational level.
  • Supports the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Highly organized and self-directed.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment.
  • General knowledge of beverage preparation and service.
  • Business maturity and ability to effectively supervise peers.
  • Experience using standard restaurant equipment safely.
  • Ability to navigate situations which may warrant security intervention.
  • Ability to learn POS register software used by facility.
  • ServSafe Certification required
  • Ability to procure and maintain an operator’s license in the City of Milwaukee

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years or older to serve alcoholic drinks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
  • Regularly required to talk, use repetitive motion, type, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
  • Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
