This role provides a unique opportunity to be a technical leader in cloud optimization, focusing on Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery environments. You will collaborate closely with sales teams to deliver value throughout the customer journey, driving cloud cost efficiency, performance improvements, and operational insights. The position involves leading Proof of Value exercises, providing tailored platform demonstrations, and developing ROI analyses to support business decisions. You will also act as the technical voice for customers, translating complex challenges into actionable solutions and contributing to product roadmap discussions. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial, offering exposure to cutting-edge Cloud Data Platform technologies and an opportunity to shape solutions that scale globally. Remote work flexibility is provided with occasional travel for customer and stakeholder engagements.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to understand prospects’ technical environments, cloud cost challenges, and business objectives
- Lead technical validation and Proof of Value (POV) exercises, ensuring successful outcomes and demonstrating solution value
- Deliver tailored platform demonstrations showcasing SELECT capabilities and addressing customer-specific use cases
- Develop compelling business cases and ROI analyses to quantify cost savings and performance improvements
- Serve as the subject matter expert for SELECT, guiding customers through implementation and adoption
- Take ownership of technical wins, addressing all requirements and building confidence in the solution
- Represent the platform at industry events and conferences, providing engaging presentations and demos
- Collect and communicate customer feedback to R&D, contributing to product improvements and roadmap decisions
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of technical activities and outcomes in internal systems
- 5+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineering role within a B2B SaaS company
- Strong expertise with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, including hands-on experience with optimization, FinOps, or data integration
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Demonstrated experience building business cases and ROI justifications for cloud cost optimization solutions
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, with occasional travel (~quarterly)
- Experience engaging executive-level stakeholders and applying modern technical selling methodologies
- Prior experience as a cloud data engineer, architect, or FinOps professional is a plus
