Reports To: Golf Course Superintendent

Department: Golf (Course Maintenance)

Status: Seasonal, Full-Time and Part-Time

Expected Start Date: April 15, 2026 (school end date is considered)

Pay Range: $17-20/hour DOE

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Maintain the golf course and the surrounding grounds. Responsible for keeping the golf course in the best possible condition. Golf maintenance includes mowing, trimming, top dressing, fertilizing, maintenance of bunkers, golf course set up, and general maintenance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintain course accessibility and appearance using power and hand tools to perform duties such as:

• mowing
• weeding
• edging and trimming
• course setup
• bunker maintenance
• blowing
• sod installation
• planting trees, shrubs and flowers

Maintain course accessibility and appearance using tools and/or chemicals to perform activities such as:

• weed abatement
• pest control
• irrigation
• cultivation
• drainage repair and installation

Golf Course set up includes:

• changing cups
• moving tee markers
• emptying trash
• maintaining ball washers

· Operate and maintain utility vehicles and equipment, following company safety standards and manufacturer’s recommendations

· Operates tractor to till, cultivate, and grade new turf areas,

· Mow golf course areas such as greens, tees, fairways and rough and to exercise care not to injure turf or shrubs.

· Uses hoses and sprinkler systems to irrigate turf.

· Digs and rakes ground to prepare new turf areas

· Plants, trims, and maintains trees and shrubs.

· Follows safety regulations

Qualifications:

· Knowledge of the general game of golf is preferred.

· Must be able to operate motorized equipment necessary for golf course maintenance.

· Must possess a positive attitude and willingness to work hard and help.

· Must be dependable, show up on time and work designated shift hours

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

· You will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

· The employee is occasionally exposed to wildlife such as snakes, scorpions, spiders, bees and hornets.
