About This Position
Registered Nurse (RN) NICU

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033
Work hours: PRN III, 7:00pm - 7:00am, 6 shifts per 6 week schedule required
NICU Department highlights:
• Beautiful new hospital located in Frisco

• Couplet Care Model
• Average 120 births per month
Here's What You Need
• Diploma in Nursing required or
• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required or
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• Two years of NICU experience strongly preferred
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and
• NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days required and maintained annually
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
