Project Site Safety Specialist Pay Range: $40-$50/hr

Employment Type: Contract, Full-Time Project Dedicated (April 2026-December 2026)

Position Summary

DDS Companies is seeking a highly qualified Project Site Safety Specialist to support a major energy infrastructure project. This is a full time, project dedicated contract position. The selected candidate will be physically present at the project site for the duration of active construction and will serve as the designated Site Safety Professional in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.

This individual will have full authority to implement corrective safety actions, including immediate intervention to address unsafe conditions or activities.

This position is hourly with per diem provided. Strong performance on this project may lead to future full-time employment opportunities within DDS Energy Services.

This position will be required to perform the following functions:

  • Site Safety Leadership
  • Incident Management and Reporting
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
  • Training and Workforce Development
  • Auditing, Reporting and Continuous Improvement

Skills and Experience

Required

  • Bachelors degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant safety experience in gas utility or heavy construction
  • CUSP certification with 5 to 7 years of documented gas utility experience
  • 20 plus years of gas utility experience and actively pursuing CUSP certification

Certifications and Training

  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction
  • Current CPR, First Aid and AED certification
  • Confined Space training
  • Work Area Protection training
  • HAZWOPER 40 Hour certification
  • Process Hazard Analysis or Process Safety training
  • Tap Root training or ability to obtain
  • Working knowledge of gas utility work methods

Preferred

  • CHST, CSP, ASP, OHST, CUSP Green or Blue
  • Strong understanding of gas transmission, distribution, or related infrastructure work
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards
  • Experience supporting client specific safety programs
