You will design and implement scalable, production-grade AI architectures, translating complex real-world workflows into autonomous and reliable AI agents. This position combines technical depth with cross-functional collaboration, working closely with product managers, domain experts, and operations teams. You will take ownership of system design, evaluation, and continuous improvement while mentoring other engineers and setting technical standards. Accountabilities

Lead the design and implementation of agentic AI systems that coordinate care, engage patients, and execute portions of care workflows.
Develop and maintain architectural patterns for agent reasoning, tool use, memory, and human-in-the-loop processes.
Build both reusable platform capabilities and product-facing implementations, balancing long-term architecture with rapid iteration.
Own end-to-end problem spaces, including system design, implementation, observability, evaluation, and continuous improvement in production.
Collaborate with product managers, operators, and domain experts to translate complex processes into reliable agent behavior.
Establish best practices for agent evaluation, safety, and operational reliability as AI systems evolve toward greater autonomy.
Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams building agent-driven capabilities.

Requirements

6+ years of experience building and shipping production software systems, including experience at a Staff or Principal IC level.
Proven track record of building and scaling multi-agent or agent-driven systems in production.
Hands-on experience with modern agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, Mastra, Claude Agents SDK) and AI SDKs (OpenAI, Anthropic), as well as observability/evaluation tools (Langfuse, LangSmith, Braintrust).
Strong systems and backend architecture fundamentals, with expertise in scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient system design.
Deep understanding of agentic evaluation, simulation-based testing, regression frameworks, metrics design, and continuous improvement loops.
Product-minded and able to translate ambiguity into clear technical solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Strong communicator and collaborator capable of driving end-to-end AI solutions with measurable real-world impact.
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and raising engineering standards across teams.
Nice-to-have: experience with conversational AI, voice-driven systems, or working in regulated/high-stakes domains.
