This role is ideal for a quality-driven automation professional who thrives in Agile, fast-paced environments and takes ownership of end-to-end software quality. You will act as a key quality advocate within cross-functional teams, ensuring systems and features are production-ready through robust testing strategies and automation. The position blends hands-on test automation, risk-based quality planning, and collaboration across engineering and product stakeholders. You will contribute to shaping scalable automation frameworks and improving CI/CD quality practices. Working remotely, you will engage deeply with system design, data flows, and integration points to ensure comprehensive validation coverage. This is a highly impactful role where your expertise directly influences product stability, reliability, and user experience.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving quality strategy and automation across assigned systems, ensuring that features are thoroughly tested and production-ready.

  • Own overall quality assurance for assigned applications and features, ensuring readiness for deployment
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into risk-based test strategies and validation plans
  • Design, document, and maintain comprehensive test scenarios, including edge cases and cross-system dependencies
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using modern frameworks to ensure scalable and reliable coverage
  • Build and enhance automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and shift-left practices to identify risks early and improve delivery quality
  • Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and recommend preventive improvements to reduce recurrence
Requirements

This role requires a strong background in software quality assurance and test automation, along with the ability to work effectively in Agile environments and collaborate across technical teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in QA, test automation, software engineering, or SDET roles
  • Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright or similar tools
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience with Cypress and Cucumber highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, Agile practices, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases and data validation concepts
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools in a responsible and effective manner
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work under deadlines
