This role sits at the core of platform reliability and operational excellence for a large-scale SaaS environment. You will lead a high-impact team responsible for ensuring system stability, performance, and secure operations across production infrastructure. The position blends technical leadership with hands-on operational oversight, covering DevOps, release management, and cloud platform optimization. You will play a key role in defining how engineering systems are deployed, monitored, and maintained at scale. Working closely with engineering, product, QA, and delivery teams, you will help ensure seamless releases and highly available services. This is a highly visible role where your decisions directly influence platform resilience, customer experience, and engineering velocity. It also offers a clear leadership trajectory toward senior platform or engineering executive roles.

In this role, you will own platform operations strategy and execution, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance across all systems. You will define operational standards and lead initiatives that strengthen infrastructure performance, release quality, and incident response maturity.

• Lead platform reliability strategy, including uptime standards, incident management, and post-incident reviews.
• Oversee DevOps and release management processes, ensuring stable, predictable, and well-orchestrated deployments.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks to proactively detect and resolve system issues.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and partner with engineering teams to improve deployment efficiency and system scalability.
• Lead security and compliance operations, supporting frameworks such as SOC 2, GovRAMP, and NIST 800-53.
• Oversee data operations, including large-scale migrations, validation processes, and integrity controls.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across platform operations, DevOps, and data functions while coordinating cross-functionally with engineering and product stakeholders.

This role requires a strong blend of technical depth, leadership capability, and operational rigor within cloud-based SaaS environments. You should be comfortable managing complex systems, leading teams, and driving improvements across reliability and security domains.

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform operations.
• 2+ years in a leadership or team management role.
• Strong experience with cloud-native SaaS platforms (Azure preferred).
• Proven expertise in CI/CD, DevOps practices, and release management workflows.
• Hands-on experience with production SaaS environments and operational monitoring tools.
• Demonstrated experience leading security compliance efforts (SOC 2, GovRAMP, or similar frameworks).
• Strong understanding of incident response, system observability, and operational governance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to balance technical and strategic priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Competitive salary range: $150,000 – $170,000
